Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and After-Sales Support
A solar plant is a 25-year asset that earns only when it runs. Dust, loose connections and unnoticed inverter trips silently eat into generation on unmanaged plants. OM Engineering's O&M and after-sales teams keep plants at peak performance with scheduled care, technology-enabled monitoring and responsive support — whether or not we built the system.

Scope of work
What we deliver
Preventive maintenance
Scheduled visual and electrical inspections, preventive electrical checks, torque verification and issue closure — catching failures before they cost generation.
Module cleaning support
Site-calibrated cleaning coordination with trained crews and safe-access provisions, keeping soiling losses off your generation numbers.
Remote monitoring & reporting
Generation, inverter status, alarms and performance visibility through OEM monitoring platforms — reviewed by our team, reported to yours.
Troubleshooting & lifecycle service
Technology-enabled issue tracking, technical guidance, corrective repairs and lifecycle service options for ageing or under-performing plants.
The economics of disciplined O&M
In Indian conditions, soiling alone can cost 5–15% of monthly generation if cleaning slips — often more than an entire annual maintenance contract. Add undetected string failures and inverter trips, and an unmanaged plant quietly loses lakhs per year. Structured O&M isn't a cost line; it's the difference between a projected return and a realized one.
Monitoring-led, not calendar-led
We track plants through OEM monitoring platforms — generation, inverter status and alarms — so deviations trigger action, not quarterly surprises. Preventive visits cover visual and electrical inspection, protection checks and cleaning coordination, and every intervention lands in your performance and service reports.
We adopt plants others installed
Many operating plants were installed by vendors who have since moved on. We take over such systems regularly: a plant health check establishes baseline condition, defects are rectified against a clear quote, and the plant moves onto a standard O&M program with monitoring restored and reporting resumed.
FAQ
Solar O&M — common questions
Do you maintain plants installed by other companies?
Yes. We start with a plant health check to establish baseline condition, quote any one-time rectification transparently, and then run the plant under a standard O&M program with monitoring and reporting.
How often should solar panels be cleaned?
Every 2–4 weeks in most Gujarat conditions — more frequently near industrial zones, highways or dusty surroundings. We calibrate the cycle to your site rather than guessing.
What does your maintenance contract include?
Scheduled preventive inspection, electrical checks, monitoring review, module-cleaning coordination, troubleshooting with issue tracking, and periodic performance and service reports. Scope is tailored to plant size and site conditions.
How do I know if my existing plant is under-performing?
Share a recent electricity bill and your monitoring access — we'll compare actual generation against what a healthy plant of that size should produce at your location, and tell you honestly whether intervention is worth it.
