Rooftop Solar Installation — RCC & Metal Sheet Roof Systems
Rooftop solar is where OM Engineering built its reputation: 65+ completed rooftop projects across industrial sheds, commercial buildings and institutional campuses since 2014. Every system is engineered around the two things that matter most up there — structural safety and waterproofing integrity — so your roof generates for 25 years without a leak or a compromise.

Scope of work
What we deliver
Metal sheet roof systems
Purpose-made attachments for trapezoidal and standing-seam industrial roofs — engineered to the roof interface with corrosion-appropriate protection and minimal dead load.
RCC roof systems
Tilted arrays on engineered supports — civil pedestals in M20/M25 grade concrete where applicable, with compression-strength verification and waterproofing care.
Elevated structures
High-rise mounting that keeps terraces usable underneath — the approach behind our campus installation at Vadodara Institute of Technology.
Net metering & zero-export setups
Complete DISCOM liaisoning for net metering, or export-limited configurations where policy or load patterns demand them.
Structural safety is step zero
Every rooftop project starts with a site visit covering roof condition, measurement and the electrical interface. Mounting is then designed for the specific roof: attachment type matched to the sheet profile or slab, wind-load basis for the location, corrosion exposure, drainage behaviour and maintenance access. If a roof needs attention before it can host solar, we tell you before you spend.
Shadow analysis and yield engineering
Rooftops bring shading — parapets, water tanks, AC units, adjacent buildings. We run rigorous shadow analysis to optimise the module arrangement for year-round output, define shadow-free setbacks, and plan string sizing and cable routing before a single structure is lifted. Safe access, walkways where needed and cleaning-friendly layouts keep the plant maintainable for its entire life.
Tested, documented, handed over generating
Before energisation, every string is verified — polarity, insulation resistance, open-circuit voltage — along with earth resistance, continuity and protection checks. Commissioning closes with a punch-list, operating training for your team and complete handover records. After that, OEM-platform remote monitoring keeps generation, inverter status and alarms visible — to you and to our after-sales team.
FAQ
Rooftop Solar — common questions
Will solar panels damage or leak my roof?
Not when mounted correctly. Attachments are engineered for your specific roof type — sheet-profile-matched fixings on metal roofs, and verified civil pedestals with waterproofing care on RCC — with fastener torque checks documented during installation.
How quickly can a rooftop system be installed?
Many of our rooftop sites require less than 30 days of on-site installation work. The full cycle including approvals and material delivery typically runs 3–6 months from contract to commissioning.
What maintenance does a rooftop plant need?
Periodic module cleaning, scheduled visual and electrical inspections, and monitoring review. Our O&M plans cover all of it, with performance and service reports so you always know how the plant is doing.
Do you install residential rooftop systems?
Our focus is industrial, commercial and institutional rooftops, and we take up select residential and housing-society projects in our service region — with the same engineering discipline scaled to size.
